While it looks like an apple, the bush apple tastes more like a pomegranate – only fluffy! The fruit’s skin is crunchy and tart, while the flesh inside has a tangy taste. Wild harvested by Indigenous Australians throughout NT, the bush apple is both nutritious (think antioxidants, Vitamin C and fibre) and delicious! The sweet yet acidic fruit is a great addition to desserts, especially sorbets and ice creams, jams and chutneys, fruit crumbles, pastries, or cordials. Add a shot of vodka or gin for a next-level cocktail!
